Grr. Real life is really beating at me lately. I want to write, but there are these other things I should really do…like my job evaluation. It’s not going well.
Describe your primary duties during this appraisal period that you wish to discuss.
Enroll and withdraw students. Maintain SAIS integrity. Maintain attendance records. Maintain cumulative files. Find students for checkout. Sign late students in. Attempt to maintain contact with parents regarding attendance. Run School Messenger daily. Send attendance report daily. Maintain contact with teachers regarding attendance. Remind teachers to take attendance. Oversee and correct attendance. Work closely with School Safety regarding attendance. Try to get the darn kids to school and then make sure someone notices if they are there or not.
List your accomplishments during this appraisal period. Include those items your supervisor should consider in evaluating your performance.
I have miraculously managed to perform most of my daily duties despite the fact all three departments I answer to have added stuff to my workload, despite the fact you moved me up front so now I’m also answering “What’s the last day of school?” and other such time-wasting enquries, and despite the fact you will not pay overtime or even comp-time.
List tasks, projects, and/or job improvements that you would like to establish and complete in the next evaluation periods.
I’d love to see how anyone else manages with my enrollment AND my turnover AND my attendance to do my job completely without help.
I’d love to see you do my job for one day.
