I’m going to try to find new information. Raw information, I mean, I’ll try not to just take stuff I get from Moveon or other places. I hope to make people think, and that’s more likely to happen if the info hasn’t had “spin” applied several times before it gets to me.
But boy is it hard! I thought if I looked for (somewhat) unbiased news sources, at least it would be better than taking say, Moveon.org or the Republican Party’s word for things. While so far I agree pretty thoroughly with Moveon.org, it is heavily filtered stuff getting to me. I know that.
Anyway. The New York Times wants nearly $4 an article. And as soon as I started searching things like “renewable energy” and trying to find an unbiased statement of how much oil is likely in Alaska it’s like pulling teeth, I tell you. Hen’s teeth.
Here’s what the government has to say about renewable energy:

My vote is we put a bit more funding behind these folks, and forget drilling in ANWR. No matter how much oil is there. It’s not worth what we would be giving up.
Oh, and if someone told people how ridiculous they look driving their shiny damn Hummer down narrow city streets, that might help, too.
