All schoolgirls should be routinely vaccinated against the virus that causes cervical cancer, a leading medical journal has said. The Lancet editorial calls for mandatory vaccination against human papillomavirus for girls in all EU member states once they are 11 or 12. But some parents fear a vaccine against a virus which effectively is sexually transmitted could promote underage sex.
Yeah. Because that’s the only thing stopping them. They’re not worried about AIDS or pregnancy or herpes, they’re worried about HPV.
How damn many 11-year-olds do you think even know what that is?
Trust me, not very many girls are thinking of what could save their lives twenty-plus years from now. But you should be. Because you’re PARENTS.
