I don’t have the energy for any pranks. Sigh.
What a day. I’m just glad to be home. And glad it still is home, the new landlord doesn’t seem much interested in raising the rent, kicking me out, or even making me get rid of the animals. Hurray. (that’s all the enthusiasm I can muster right now.)
I’m going to miss the trees, though. Not sure I’ll like this place so much without the big, beautiful trees. In fact, I know I won’t. But if that’s the smallest problem this place being sold makes, I’ll be happy.
I might go write. It’s far more likely I’ll spend the evening staring at my work, with no energy or inspiration to take it further. Sigh. Don’t even ask what made this day so rough. I might tell you. And you don’t want to hear it, it’s mostly just a pile of petty things, anyway.
Except for the screw-up that resulted in my pay not being deposited in my account the day I was supposed to pay rent to the new landlord for the first time. Sigh. I only wish that were a joke.
Did I mention I’m glad to be home?
