Tonight was the first movie night. I suggested a couple old favorites, just ’cause I haven’t seen the Princess Bride or Indiana Jones in forever, but Bly wanted to show me something I hadn’t seen before.
So we watched Gravitation. Can you say “Loved it?”
Don’t ask me why, I can’t tell you. If I knew someone like Shuichi, I’d probably have to beat him up too. Yuki is a major jerk most of the time, and I don’t care that he’s a cool, beautiful jerk. Okay, I do care, I adore him, but you know what I mean. I shouldn’t care, he’s a jerk and that should be the end of it.
But no. Loved it. Laughed my butt off at Shu, adored Yuki right along with him, hurt for the both of them, wanted to marry Hiro (Shu’s best friend and a really great guy, yet not boring as so many “nice” guys are in tv and movies!), hated…well, I’ll leave that out. Wouldn’t want to spoil anything. 😀
Here, if you ever care to check it out. Remember, now, it is a comedy, but also a romance between two men (okay, Shu will be a boy till he’s about seventy, I think, so we’ll go with ‘male’). It’s not explicit, but some cowards can’t even take a hint of that. The link goes to the first of the anime. Haven’t read the manga yet, I’ve heard it’s lots darker.
I’ll be finding out just as soon as I have time. Bly the wonderful has all the books, too. Yay!
