It’s Friday. School starts Tuesday. Maybe you should look into getting your kid registered.
Ya think?
It’s no wonder these kids have such a hard time coming to class prepared. Look at who is teaching them basic survival.
Just a hint, guys–if you don’t know what you need to register your kid, calling ahead might be a good idea. Yes, you need the birth certificate–so don’t pack it in a random box. Yes, you need the shot record. Yes, we need proof of address. No, we are not going to believe that you 1) have no bills, 2) have no lease OR mortgage OR even property tax, 3) can’t get a state ID. You MUST have proof of address. No, a check-cashing card won’t work.
Yes, the last school can fax the immunizations. But they’re registering all their kids right now too, and guess where your request falls on their priority list?
No, the last school cannot fax the original of the birth certificate. It’s that word “original” that throws a wrench in the works.
Yes, we have to do this every year. Didn’t I cover that?
I know. It really is a pain. Much worse than say, getting a passport, getting married, doing your taxes, doing anything at all having to do with the Motor Vehicle Department…
