I don’t wanna get ready for Christmas! I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna! I wanna write! Wahhhh!
Oh, all right. The tree is up, the shopping is started, the cards are–ahem. The tree is up. And my Christmas story is done, ready for editing for my friend’s Christmas present! Whoohooohooo! Was starting to get really worried about that one…
My book is now 810 pages, down 104 since I finished the first major edit in July. I’m progressing. Way too flipping slow for my impatient inner weasel, but I am progressing. I refuse to be weaseled!
For those who don’t know, the inner weasel is that voice that tells you other people cook dinner every night, other people write great novels in less than five years, other people have picture-perfect Christmas trees–you get the idea.
For your information, my tree is pretty. Sure, all the bulbs are on one side, and the ornaments are clustered on the other side, and the tinsel is in four big clumps on the front of the tree. But the young lady who directed the decorating likes it that way. And that’s fine by me. Especially since we got done twice as fast as usual, which got me back on the computer far faster than I expected… 😉
