Finally I got that blasted plot bunny detached.
Have I explained plot bunnies? Hang on, I like my friend’s explanation better than mine.
Plot bunny: the basic idea of a story, the first point when your brain looks at something and goes, “HEY! That’d make a neat fic!” (story)
Called plot bunnies because they breed like rabbits. And probably because, like in Monty Python, they seem innocent and harmless but they will kill you, or drive you insane at least. Plot bunny hutches are often tended by the muses, who generally like them much more than the authors do.
Okay, so the other night we were talking on group and someone made a joke about the real reason Weiss let one of their targets get on a plane and take off before they killed him in the air. Instantly this dirty mind came up with its own “real” reason.
The Mile-High Club is on my fanfic page. It’s a great little fic. And it only took two pages to dislodge that plot bunny, yay!
My friend Phoenix (not her real name, how smart is that? *grin*) is getting published in April. She and I are both currently working on long fanfics, but we’ve made a pact as soon as they’re done, we start nagging each other about our original fiction.
She casts her characters too. And she used Orlando Bloom in her book, and her character is nothing like my Orlando Bloom character. *snicker* Not that anyone is like my Rafe.
