So the wonderful Wonderer posted a link to Holly Lisle’s One-Pass Revision article in the Spork Room. (don’t ask)
It’s here: Holly Lisle
This looks–hard as hell. It also looks like one heck of a way to knock a decent novel into “pretty darn good” in a very short time. I’m thinking I might try it. I’m thinking I might be nuts, but I think I’m going to try it. What can it hurt, right? I’ve got a two-week vacation coming up. (oh, please, hurry, hurry, get here soon!) What have I got to lose? Besides my sanity, of course.
I’m going to try it. And I’m going to have a look around her sites and see what other advice she has, because I think she’s someone I could learn a lot from. Not only because she’s multi-published, but because judging by her writing–she’s someone who tells it like it is. Not mean, but straight, and with a good bit of humor. A little humor to salve the soul is a good thing.
Now I just need to decide which ms to attack first.
Taro. I’m starting with Taro. Onward.
