The Doomy Summer of Editing DOOM is coming on fast, so I thought I’d dig out the files and start getting ready.
And I’ve come to the conclusion that insanity doesn’t cover it. When I made this decision, I was suffering a complete disassociation from reality.
Ben’s book is not just in pieces, it’s a badly-linked series of scenes I didn’t want to give up. You’ve heard of the kitchen-sink plot? This is it. Whatever it is, it’s in there.
Eve’s book is still only half a book. Not only do I not have the other half written–I don’t even know what it is. And I can’t really figure it out till I know what’s going in Ben’s book.
Donte…hmm, this should be better. I remember Donte at least being a complete book.
Also, why do I have so many files, and what the heck am I keeping all this paper for?

As a doctor, he’s impatient with those who should know better. I’m really liking the dichotomy here–Eve doesn’t see his strength till he has to go against her. and she likes it. Everyone else gets mad when Ben tries to run over them–Eve gets turned on.
Yes, there will probably be a lot of whining over the next few months. Also lots of banging my head on the wall. Hopefully, though, there will also be moments of glee.
