I finished those two connecting scenes today. 2400 words. At last. I’m not happy with them, but I have the basics of what I need. This isn’t a final run through–this is my attempt to get the entire book in place, in close to its final shape. Polishing comes later.
I have made a Resolution. I’m going to start doing other things beside writing. Like learning a bit about the gizmos on my computer. I discovered tonight that I apparently have a program already on my computer that will take scanned documents (Y hallo there, very old manuscripts!) and turn them into editable word processing files. It came with my scanner (makes sense) and I have almost removed it some ten times because I didn’t know what it was.
Also, I can change the format of my page numbers which will make my editing progress a little less confusing.
And I need to get back to drawing. And where’s that Spanish CD-ROM?
Onward! (after, again, sleep. Dratted sleep, stealing all my time!)
(Also, I really need to find an office set up that works. This so does not.)
Ooh, OCR. I haven’t worked with OCR software since 2001. (And I hope what you’ve got is better than what my boss bought. 🙄 )
*leaves large piles of hugs* Since I apparently forgot to last night. >_>
*hugs back* Well, at this point anything that gets me to scan those things before the dot-matrix print fades away entirely is a good thing. 😀 I’ll worry about making the OCR work later.
*is not here, really, ran off to bed as soon as she posted*
