So I think I mentioned that the Turtleduck-appointed webmistress got eaten by her life. I’ve had pretty good luck at figuring stuff out–I’ve made free websites on AOL, Geocities, Angelfire, and possibly a few more, as well as doing my WordPress through FTP till it got advanced enough I didn’t have to–so when no one had actual knowledge of the process, I volunteered to Give it My Best Shot.
That means learning Joomla! And I’m having fun.
I meant to get a book, but that hasn’t happened yet. Despite this, I haven’t been able to keep my hands off the program. It’s so simple. It’s so flexible. It’s so fun. Of course sometimes I get stumped, but there are tutorials all over the place, and it really is pretty intuitive. I actually put it on my site (it’s around here somewhere but invisible) to play with it, so I wouldn’t screw things up on the TDP site.
…well, screw them up as badly as I’m likely to do the first time I play with a new program that I haven’t learned before jumping in. XD
Speaking of, the Turtleduck teaser site is up, unless the members decide I should take it down. We’ve been going round and round for a while as we all tried to remember what we decided on, and I just put it up. It won’t hurt anything. Right?
Now I’m off to see how hard it would be to change a font in a template I’m considering. It seems that I have reached the point of knowing Just Enough Code to be Dangerous.
Yay teaser site!
Yay indeed! Thank you!
You’re doing awesome, KD. 😀
Cheers,
CA
