I’m here, I’m here, YAY!!!
I was beginning to think I would never get here. So many things to do before I could! So many things I could screw up or forget! So many minor crises that could have grown out of control!
But I’m here. It’s a bit surreal still–the earplugs worked fine, but they do tend to mess with my sense of reality.
Oh, for anyone searching for a solution to ear pain while flying–earplugs. Earplanes advertise themselves as the best, and they are very good. But I find them uncomfortable. The ones I got this time are just a silicone-like plug that you shape into a ball and then use to cover your ear canal. They are much cheaper, and work fairly well, though I think the Earplanes worked a little better.
Either way, I am here and I don’t feel as if I left most of my head back in Arizona. This is a good thing.
I’m at the airport still, hoping to meet a friend I haven’t hugged yet. SFO gives patrons forty-five minutes of free Wi-Fi. I suppose it’s so they can threaten to cut off my session if I don’t give them money; it’s the only reason I can think of to make the session so short when people are advised to get to the airport so long before their flight.
Anyway. San Francisco! Yaoi-Con! Friends, fun, BISHIES!! Whee!!
Also, bookmarks in large quantities are very heavy.
Onward!
Wheee!!!! Have a fantastic time!!!
