Don’t you hate when no one actually asks you to stay past when they stopped paying you, but they make it seem like if you’d really tried, you could have gotten all this done, so maybe you should just hang around until you do get it done?
I love my job. I do. And I know I’m not the brightest crayon in the box, though I doubt I’m far down the list. But one thing I do know, is no one but possibly Data could have gotten all that registration information into the computer by the first day of school. So I’m not feeling guilty about leaving at four today. That’s when they stop paying me, that’s when I stop working. I did my best, I’ll do it again tomorrow, but that’s enough for today.
Now if only I could forget the poor administrators, watching me leave with puppy-dog eyes…they’re salary, you see. They stay till the job is done. I hope they make it home at some point before Friday.
