I’m too tired to both blog and do my 750 words  (damn you, registration!), so have some of my 750 from yesterday. First, so i throw some words on this blog, and second, because it might be interesting, and third, so I remember because there’s something here I want to remember, I just can’t pick it out right now. The coffee has not hit.
Onward. what am I doing now? I am typing in the dark. I should not do that. What if I type with my eyes closed? I’m pretty good you know. I can do that.
Neeeeeeed to get on Joss, but I’m actually working on it in my mind. When I’m not arguing with the child, anyway. Can I ship her off to military school for a few years? Yeesh!
Joss. I’m thinking about Joss, rereading Save the Cat!, and figuring some things out. We skated over Joss’ feelings in most of the book, but I think a little more depth will make lots of things work better. Break into Two is defiinitely going to be in the Chamber (pretty sure that’s where that falls.) If not, it should be. I will poke. But what’s my halfway all is lost? When Zeke and Paige are taken? Could be–no need for debate there.
Oh, the revelation! I realized last night that the debate doesn’t take pages 12-25, it just needs to be in there somewhere! Some of the stuff, like the fun and games, should take up their page count, but the debate and the All is Lost do not need to! Just be in the range somewhere. This shall make figuring stuff out easier, as long as I don’t forget it again. man, why can’t she be more quiet in the mornings? Kate is trying to sleep!
Ahh well. She’s going to be running around in circles and I’ll have to direct her a bit. I’m taking a granola bar and a frozen lunch that I /will/ walk away from my desk to eat. Damn it. You want me away from my desk? I will go away from my desk, and I will enjoy it!
I think Snyder was one of those writers like BJ, stringing pearls on a chain. That’s why he talks about moving cards around and stuff. My stories don’t grow like that most of the time, so it’s pretty hard to move things around. However, I seem to have an instinctive understanding of structure that’s not perfect, but is useful. Things will mostly be in the right order–I’m just going to be missing things, and the trick seems to be identifying what I’m missing. Save the Cat! should very much help with that.
I love it when a plan comes together. 😀
Completely unedited. Whoo. 😉
