And I’m halfway through. Yay!
Today was an odd day. I told Hope to do something, she asked if she could watch TV after. I was in the kitchen, and I reached to put something in the sink, looking down as I did. There, spelled out–I swear it!–in four pieces of macaroni in a pan, was ‘TV.’
So I let her watch TV. Not much, still, but I did let her watch.
I spent something like four hours working on one scene. The darn thing was driving me nuts, but I think I got it. I hope I got it. I’ll have another bash at it when I go to put the revisions in.
What I’m doing is, if I re-write a scene a LOT, I go ahead (did I say this?) and put it in the computer. Print it out and go over it again. This particular scene I did THREE TIMES. But it’s an important one, and I think it’s a lot better now.
Deep breath and move on. As my new mentor (Holly Lisle, the lady rocks) says, a writing career is made up of books. Not singular. Plural. Gotta get it good as I can, and then get it OUT.
That’s the goal. And I’m halfway there. Yay!
And my head hurts. G’night, blogworld.
