Why is it I don’t mind mornings at all when I don’t have to go to work?
Ah well. I’ve been up for about an hour and I think I’m actually ready to get started. (as soon as I rescue my forgotten breakfast from the microwave, anyway…)
I realized this morning I’m on my next-to-last ream of paper. It made me laugh, because when I bought my wonderful printer (HP 1010, wonderful little machine!) I bought an entire CASE of paper! Ten reams, five hundred sheets each, five thousand pieces of blank, beautiful paper to print my dreams on. Oh, I was a real writer now…though it took me twenty minutes of struggling to get that box into my car, and then I had to ask a neighbor to carry it upstairs for me, and after that when I moved it I had to slide it…
The cartridges for my printer are $70. I always keep one ahead, because heaven knows when I’ll need to send out a ms and not have the money when the ink runs out halfway through printing…
I’ve been a real writer all along. What I really need is to get paid.
And on that note…onward!
