Need to Kill

No particular reason really.  Well, nothing I can point to and go THAT is why!

Let’s see.  For some damn reason the district can’t figure out that I’m doing three separate jobs, and they always want everything done at the same time.  Tomorrow, for instance, is the deadline for getting addresses corrected in the computer for the feeder process.  It is ALSO the day the class count is due.  Next week is the day all the absences I can possibly get excused need to be done, so they can send the report in.  AND the 100th day is coming up.  Not to mention, now is the time to get grades and test scores and every damned thing else sent out to high schools so our kids can go where they want to go.

No, not a single one of these people talk to each other to find out what deadlines each is setting.  Why should they?

Stressed?  No, not at all, why do you ask?

I’ll tell you a secret–the addresses should have been done.  I’m still working my way through the green cards we got in August.

It’s just not possible to get it all done.  Not when they long-term suspend five kids in one day.  For ten days.  Ten days means I have to drop them.  Nine days means I do NOT have to drop them.  Nine days means I spend five seconds putting the reason code in their absence record.  Ten days means I spend half an hour on the paperwork to drop them, only to spend half an hour on the paper-work to re-enroll them a day or two later.  (since the decision to add one flipping day to the suspension happens at the hearing, on or about the ninth day of suspension.)

I wanna write, but I’ve got a splitting headache for the fourth day in a row.
