Did a LOT of running around today. That’s why I forgot to post.
Okay, so it wasn’t the running around. It was where we went. I had a $25 gift card for Park Place Mall burning a hole in my pocket, and my DVD-ROM on my computer quit last week.
You know what that means.
Yep. Borders and Best Buy in the same day. I’m lucky I escaped with my sanity (such as it is.)
Have you ever tried to pick out just twenty-five dollars worth at Borders? *sigh*
That said, I did pretty well, and it only took two hours. I got a couple David Weber books (read On Basilisk Station free AND legal here ), a Catharine Asaro, and the Chronicles of Narnia in one book for FOUR BUCKS.
At Best Buy I ONLY bought a new DVD drive and a new jump drive. That’s why I was flipped out about the DVD-ROM. Since the demise of my first jump drive, it had been my only way to back up my files. As someone who has been burned before (TOO many times, really should have learned sooner…), that worried me just a little.
Also at Best Buy, Bly bought me part of my Christmas present–the first DVD of Bleach. Me so happy!
Of course I blew my frugality by taking us all to TGIFriday, but hey. We were hungry!
