Doesn’t it make sense that if the business is going to be closed when you return the truck, they should mention that? Or how about turning the “Open” sign off? Or posting only one set of hours, or at least making sure the two sets of posted hours agree?
Yeah, I’m still ticked. The truck was supposed to be back at 1600. We busted ass to get it there on time. But…the door was locked. Hours posted on the door said they should be open, the open sign was on, but the door was locked. People kept driving up to do business, but the door was locked. We figured the attendant (it’s a self-storage place) was out back helping someone. We waited patiently. It was 107 degrees, and we waited patiently.
And then we got mad. Finally we poked the keys under the door and left, but not before we were all cooked, dehydrated, and some of us burned.
Not that U-Haul gives a damn, but they are NOT getting my recommendation. First they double-book us, then they cook us. Thanks a lot. We weren’t wiped out enough before that half-hour in the oven.
