Whee!!

I love the organic way my stories grow.  I do think about the plots some, but not that much.  It’s more a matter of casting my play with interesting people–then writing down what they do.

BJ thinks it’s hysterical that I write that way.  She knows how it ends before she begins.  Bly thinks it’s awesome, but she really doesn’t see how I can.  (I haven’t quite worked out how Bly writes.  She doesn’t do it that often yet.  Must get her enough room to get her personal computer out of the box, she doesn’t like to play on her work computer…)  She has great respect for my voices, though.  Which is a good thing, as I don’t see how we could be roommates if she didn’t.  I would most certainly drive her insane.

I may yet.  Bwahahaha…

Anyway.  Keen’s book is growing.  It stands at 15,500, so about 1,500 words today.  Luc’s family has changed from several older brothers, (my first vague idea, then at one point he had four older sisters, but that didn’t last long) to five older and one younger siblings, and a rather messy collection of step-moms.  Each of them has basically stepped onto the page and introduced themselves.  In a page or two of interactions, they all stand out as individuals and parts of a loving family.  I’m delighted.

Davide turned out to be an artist.  He just presented Luc with a painting, and I am told that I did a fantastic job of drawing this important (to the story) work with my words.

Yay!
