Sometime after I made my Fitbit account, I joined an activity group for people who have a lot of weight to lose. In my group, we call being in the second century (100-199 pounds) “Onederland.”
I’ve walked from the Shire to Rivendell, from Rivendell to Lothlorien, and now I’m drifting down the Anduin in a boat. Along the way, I’ve lost 57 pounds.
If I just continue on the way I’m going, I’m gonna make it to Onederland by Christmas.
We will now pause for a dance party. 😀
So there’s that.
I was amused today because I went to the grocery store, and came home with evidence of how my life has changed. Here’s a pic of most of my purchases.
And I’m thrilled about it. Doesn’t it look delicious??
I buy most of my produce at Sprouts, where in the past I probably wouldn’t have bought much produce at all. Tomorrow, though, we’ll go to the regular grocery store and I’ll get the grapes and Honeycrisp apples they have on sale.
If you haven’t tried Honeycrisp, by the way, you need to. They are amazing. Also an apple called Sweet Tango, that I found at Sprouts.
Not pictured: the zucchini that I turned into yummy YUMMY zucchini patties for dinner. Here’s the recipe.
So there’s that.
Last weekend was Yaoi-Con. I can’t even…nope. Too much amazing in one place. Not ready to talk about it. But I will say I have the best friends in all the world and then some.
Today I got my hair cut! It wasn’t all that long, but lately every time I cut it, I want it shorter. So I did that. The stylist was surprised and a little wary when I told her what I wanted, but I told her if I hated it, it would grow back. And it would grow back if I didn’t hate it! So she did it.
Now you can see my dragon muse, whispering stories and plots in my ear!
NaNo is coming.
The plan is to write the sequel (finally!) to Louder than Sirens, Louder than Bells.
Also coming? The final edit–and then release!–of Burning Bright. I’m so excited!
OmiLork, so much awesome in one post! Onederland’s in sight, pretty veggies, GREAT video, AWESOME HAIRCUT! *glomps you in joy*
(Can’t wait to hear about YaoiCon when you’re ready.)
