Water is so wonderful. I’ve always loved being in it. When I was a kid and my dad would take me and my brothers fishing? He never caught anything, because very quickly we kids would be in the water, and no fish in its right mind is coming near that. In tiny streams that barely covered our ankles, we’d hunt crayfish just to find them, stare at them, put them back.
Did you every have minnows nibble your feet? Apparently that’s a thing people pay for now. I used to do it in streams in Pennsylvania.
My favorite documentary is Blue Planet. I love aquarium videos for relaxing. And waterfalls, and beaches with crashing waves. Of course.
why am I so damn incoherent tonight? Because we went swimming. I’m super tired, and super content. As the beloved roommate puts it when we are chin-deep and just hanging out in the cool glorious water–contented mermaid noises.
